Saxonby supports local entrepreneurs by sponsoring first real ale tent at Shrewsbury Flower Show

Saxonby Shrops Born Brewed 1

Shrewsbury based home builder Saxonby will be offering people a chance to taste some of Shropshire’s best beers, through its co-sponsorship of the real ale tent at this year’s Shrewsbury Flower Show.

Believed to be the first of its kind in the show’s prestigious 124 year history, Saxonby and Asset Surfacing Ltd will be supporting Shropshire Born & Brewed, a provider of outdoor real ale bars to organisers of local shows, festivals, weddings, parties and similar functions. Also based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire Born & Brewed was established by 21-year-old Jessica Turner and brothers Tim and Patrick Moody, 26 and 22 respectively, who together hold over 20 years’ combined experience in the hospitality trade. The real ale tent will be offering a good selection of beers from well-known Shropshire breweries such as Three Tuns, Hobsons, Salopian and Stonehouse at the Shrewsbury Flower Show.

Andrew Copson, director at Saxonby said: “Saxonby is always keen to support local businesses like the young entrepreneurs at Shropshire Born & Brewed, who are providing a first at this year’s flower show. We are sure that the clients we have invited as well as the show attendees will enjoy some of the best Shropshire real ale in addition to the fantastic flower show spectacle, which is one of the key events in Shrewsbury’s social calendar.”

Jessica Turner said: “This is the first in what we hope will be many outings for Shropshire Born & Brewed. Our aim is to promote the best of Shropshire’s real ales to people who enjoy good beer, are trying it for the first time or simply want something different for their event, festival or party.  We are very grateful to the support of Saxonby and Asset Surfacing Ltd and look forward to a successful flower show.”

The Shropshire Born & Brewed real ale tent will be located next to The Quarry bandstand (site 9) at the Shrewsbury Flower Show on 10 and 11 August.
