Saxonby adds Acclaim Accreditation to its list of construction industry credentials
Saxonby has added the Acclaim Accreditation to its list of construction industry credentials.
Acclaim Accreditation is a new health and safety assessment scheme provided by leading health and safety consultancy firm Capita Property and Infrastructure. It enables contractors, sub-contractors and material suppliers to become health and safety assessed as a part of their Constructionline membership. It is built on the principles of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) of which Acclaim Accreditation is a member and which seeks to eliminate the need for suppliers to join different health and safety accreditations for different buyers.
Encouraged by the Health and Safety Executive, SSIP schemes provide a valid demonstration that suppliers have met Stage 1 of the Core Criteria. The SSIP Assessment is a proportionate and cost effective option for an SME to meet its Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 responsibilities in the first stage procurement.
James Wood, director at Saxonby said: “By achieving Acclaim Accreditation we can reassure our clients that we’ve met stage one health and safety requirements - something now mandated by a large proportion of buyers. It is also a reflection of how seriously we take health and safety within Saxonby.”
