Saxonby director reappointed on group board at The Wrekin Housing Trust
Saxonby director Andrew Copson has been re appointed to serve another term as an independent executive director on the group board at The Wrekin Housing Trust (TWHT).
Having completed six years in the role and holding over 25 years experience in the sector Copson is passionate about social housing outcomes. He said: “I feel privileged to be part of such a well-run and managed organisation. TWHT plays a vital role for the 11,000 Shropshire people who live in its homes. It provides community cohesion and development through its projects, as well as dealing with key issues such as anti-social behaviour, health and policing. I believe that my experience in social housing and the business world have and will continue to help TWHT develop and maintain its high levels of service.”
TWHT is one of the UK’s top performing LSVT (large scale voluntary transfer) organisations and has just won a Midlands Excellence Award for all-round excellence in the large company category. Asked why TWHT stood out, the awards’ jury made the following comments: “The Wrekin Housing Trust has taken excellence to its heart and truly lives and role-models its values in all it does. We were impressed by the way the organisation seeks to develop strong, positive relationships with customers.”
