Helping other people and giving back to communities where we live and work is a critical part of Saxonby and our success is underpinned by this culture.
We support a number of community projects and the directors give up a substantial amount of time to charitable organisations, we encourage and support our staff to do the same.
We were exceptionally proud and humbled to be presented with the best Business in the Community accolade at the 13th annual Shropshire Business Awards. Held at the Telford International Centre and organised by Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and The Shropshire Star newspaper we were presented with the top award in front of over 50 other businesses.
Our biggest community project to date will see us work with this outstanding club to continue its growth and to revitalise the County Cricket Ground at Frankwell in Shrewsbury.
Beacon Cricket Club New Nets
Saxonby, in partnership with Travis Perkins, recently provided resource and materials to build a permanent practice net for Beacon Cricket Club at the town’s Frankwell ground.

Saxonby's £100,000 Groundforce Style Makeover of the Shropshire & West Midland Showground on behalf of the 140 year old Shropshire & West Midland Agricultural Society.
Young Enterprise Awards
Saxonby is delighted to support Young Enterprise.
We are mindful that life is very tough for young people and they face many challenges on the road to living a happy and healthy life.
This scheme allows young people the opportunity to experience the business world and gives them another route apart from just education.
Shropshire Warriors U15 Basketball Team
As part of its continuing commitment to the local sports community Saxonby has committed to a kit sponsorship deal with the Shropshire Warriors U15s basketball team.
Local Community Grant
Saxonby donates £12,500 as part of its Local Community Grant Scheme.
Working in partnership with the people whom our developments effect we identified that community facilities were in decline.
As part of our commitment to leave a lasting legacy imporvements will be made to the village's Childrens Play Area and Football Pitch.
Amblecote Primary, Stourbridge
Children from the local primary school help Saxonby with the environmental assessment of our construction site.
Saxonby also funds an Eco Garden at Amblecote Primary School as part of the 'Eco Action' nationwide scheme.
Beacon Cricket Club Summer Camp
Saxonby sponsored Beacon Cricket decided as part of its continuing growth to hold a school holiday summer camp. With the help of Saxonby over 60 local Children were able to attend a weeks worth of activities inclusing cricket, touch rugby, rounders, canoeing, football, hockey and many other sports.
Help For Heroes Saxonby Panda
In 2013 the Saxonby Help for Heroes charity panda was born.
So far Saxonby Pandas have made many children happy even finding heir way into the homes of Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynski and Mayor of Shrewsbury Cllr Jon Tandy.
Independant Board Memberships
Saxonby staff are encouraged to give something directly back to the community by participating on boards of local Charities.
We are very proud that the success has Saxonby enables us to donate many hours of our time to help other people.
Ludlow Cares Rough Sleeping Event
Saxonby director sleeps rough to raise awareness of the issues homeless people face.
The event is expected to raise in excess of £30,000 for the likes of Barnardo's, St. Basils, and a selection of local charities.

Shropshire Born & Brewed
Saxonby assisted two local entreprenuers to set up the first Real Ale stand at the prestigious Shrewsbury Flower Show.
Due to the outsatnding success a new events company was born!
St Barnabas CE First & Middle School
A group of 10 year olds undertook a number of site visits and a classroom based workshop session to look at the original history of our Drakes Broughton development site.
The pupils then literally took an in depth look in the ground to help them learn about geology.
We were also able to help the children understand the dangers around playing on or around construction sites.

Kinlet CofE Primary School visit - April 2015
Nearly 70 pupils from Kinlet CofE Primary School visited Saxonby's development in the Shropshire village recently.
